Welcome to the King's Highway Elementary
Hello, King's Highway Elementary students, families, and community,
I am excited to lead the KH team and continue to have a long history of excellence and engagement. Our goals here at Kings Highway are to create a learning environment where all members of the school community can show their PRIDE - and here at King's Highway, PRIDE means being productive, responsible, inclusive, dependable, and engaged.
This is my first school year with the Coatesville Area School District and my 11th year in education. Before my current role, I served the students and community of Newark, Delaware, as a high school assistant principal at Christiana High School. I began my educational career as an elementary visual art teacher, eventually moving to the secondary level, and still hold creativity and expression as essential opportunities for my students. I have taught every grade in the K-12 span through various subjects (visual art, technology ed, special education).
Growing up in Chester County, I headed to Kutztown University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Art Education and a Bachelor of Fine Arts. I later completed a Master of Education in School Leadership at Wilmington University and a graduate certificate in Special Education.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outside, and riding bikes; time in nature has always been a big part of my life.
