Mrs. Jan D'Angelo
Reading Specialist
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you’ll go.”— Dr. Seuss
One of my favorite things to do when I was young was cozy up in a corner of the house with a good book!
That love of reading was what helped me decide to become a teacher and reading specialist. While I am only in my second year at Scott, I have been teaching for 21 years in a couple of different school districts and Delaware County Community College. I received my undergraduate degree in elementary and early childhood education from Lock Haven University and my graduate degree in Literacy from West Chester University.
When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my husband and three children who are 22, 20, and 16, hiking, going to the beach, and watching our daughter play lacrosse and basketball. Of course, the rest of my free time is spent reading!
