A message from your CASD School Board of Directors:
The Coatesville Area School District is a vibrant tapestry woven from the diverse experiences and identities of our students, families, and communities. This rich mix is what makes Coatesville unique. We understand, however, that while we celebrate our diversity, we haven't achieved equity for all learners.
The recent equity study results are a wake-up call. The School Board acknowledges this reality and takes full responsibility for ensuring every student and staff member feels valued and supported. This means fostering a truly inclusive environment where all can thrive.
We commit to eliminating the barriers that inhibit some of our learners from reaching their full potential and take accountability for ensuring equitable hiring practices, policies, professional development, curriculum, and discipline to honor the dignity and richness of our community.
We believe that our staff members care very deeply for our students and that they are invested in their success. We are eager to partner with them in this work, along with, community members and community organizations, as we move forward in a collaborative spirit.
